PutterBox

Company Story
At PutterBox, our journey began with a passion for golf and a relentless pursuit of simplicity. As a long-time golfer, I’ve always been on the lookout for ways to improve my game without complicating it. I believe that putting should be as straightforward as shooting a free throw in basketball – a skill that can be honed through consistent practice and focus.
One day, I decided to take matters into my own hands and create a DIY putting training tool that would fit perfectly into small spaces, like my office, mancave, or garage. My goal was to design a product that would provide a realistic experience of a five-foot straight putt, allowing me to practice frequently. After all, those little short putts can make or break a round, or even win or lose that nassau!
From this vision, PutterBox was born – a tool that combines simplicity, functionality, and the joy of practice. Our mission is to help golfers of all skill levels elevate their putting game in the comfort of their own homes.

FAQs
🧰 Product FAQ
Will PutterBox™ work on carpet?
Yes. It performs best on flat indoor surfaces like tile, wood, or low-pile carpet. Avoid thick shag or uneven flooring for the truest roll.
Do I need batteries or an app?
No. PutterBox™ is 100% analog—no tech, no charging, no distractions. Just pure feedback and repetition.
How wide is the gate?
You choose between two settings: 2.5" (challenging) or 2.0" (very tight). For reference, a golf ball is 1.67", so even the wider setting demands precision.
What’s the total footprint?
Approximately 6 feet long by 8 inches wide—just under 4 square feet. Compact enough for any room, office, or travel bag.
Can I get a mat extension?
Yes, but only after production begins. Updates will be shared with customers on our launch list.
Can I remove the disc and still use it?
Absolutely. Removing the disc creates a clean target zone that’s perfect for beginners building confidence and rhythm.
Is it loud when the ball returns?
Not at all. The return is smooth and quiet—ideal for home, office, or shared spaces.
Can beginners use it?
Definitely. PutterBox™ builds confidence for all skill levels. If you want to make more short putts, it’s for you.
What happens if you sell more than 500 units?
We’re ready. The first 500 are printed in-house, and any overflow will ship in the next wave with the exact same feel, quality, and performance.
Is PutterBox™ trademarked?
The name is trademark-pending. We’re protecting the brand so it remains focused, original, and built for golfers—not imitators.
Is PutterBox™ patented?
The utility of the design is patent-pending. This includes key functional elements like the aiming disc, return system, and compact footprint.
What stimpmeter speed does it roll at?
PutterBox™ rolls fast—around 12+ on the stimpmeter based on DIY testing. That speed is intentional: a firm, true roll helps you start the ball on line, build rhythm, and trust your stroke. It's not designed to mimic every green—it's built to groove confident short-putt mechanics.
🎯 Practice FAQ
Can I train start line, tempo, and impact?
Yes. The alignment visuals, narrow gate, and true roll make it ideal for working on start line, tempo, posture, and face control.
Can I practice pressure putting?
Absolutely. Set a goal—like “Make 10 in a row.” If you miss, start over. The gate adds real consequence.
Can I practice with or without the disc?
Yes. Use the disc for precision feedback or remove it for clean-target confidence reps.
Can I practice with my eyes closed, one-handed, or using just my trail hand?
Yes. PutterBox™ is perfect for feel-based drills that improve touch, tempo, and face awareness.
Can I practice between meetings?
Definitely. It’s quiet, compact, and always set up—no reset or ball-chasing needed.
Can I use different balls, a metronome, mirror, coin, or tees?
Yes. PutterBox™ works with nearly any drill style—speed control drills, precision targets, mirror alignment work, metronome tempo, tee gates, and more.
Can I practice streaks, competitions, or make-percent tracking?
For sure. Keep score, compete with a friend, or track your make percentage for accountability and improvement.
Can I train lag touch or “stop near the gate” drills?
Yes. You can work on speed control, not just makes, by stopping the ball just short of the gate.
